About our perspective
The Saltmarsh Voices Collective is an advocacy organization. Our canon is explicitly centered on Saltmarsh community perspectives. We believe that local and community-generated knowledge has been systematically underrepresented in mainstream sources, and our endorsements reflect that priority. We do not claim to be objective — we claim to be honest about our commitments. Methodologically rigorous sources that nonetheless sideline community lived experience will appear in our Cautionary tier, not because their data is wrong, but because their framing is incomplete.
